SLS 3D Printing

Durable Parts for Prototypes & Production

With SLS technology, Purple Porcupine can help you create strong, production-ready parts with complex geometries. This enables a seamless transition from prototyping to manufacturing.

Why SLS?

SLS technology delivers excellent dimensional accuracy, strong mechanical properties, and the freedom to create highly complex geometries without support structures. From intricate internal channels to lightweight lattice structures, SLS enables designs that would be difficult or impossible to manufacture using traditional methods.

Whether you’re producing functional prototypes, manufacturing aids, or end-use parts, SLS combines design flexibility with production-ready performance.

Ideal Applications
 – Jigs & fixtures
 – Tooling
 – Replacement parts
 – End-use components
 – Low-volume production
 – Functional prototyping
 – Custom manufacturing
 – Complex part consolidation

Materials

Nylon 12 is a durable, versatile SLS 3D printing material with excellent strength, dimensional accuracy, and environmental resistance. It is ideal for functional prototypes, end-use parts, and complex assemblies requiring reliable performance.

Nylon 12 Tough is a high-performance SLS material designed for parts that require exceptional toughness, impact resistance, and durability. It is ideal for functional prototypes and end-use components that must withstand repeated stress and demanding operating conditions.

TPU 90A is a flexible, durable SLS material with excellent elasticity, tear resistance, and impact absorption. It is ideal for producing rubber-like parts such as seals, gaskets, protective components, and wearable products.

Print Your Part
With an average lead time of 2.6 days, our team will print, clean, and ship your part quickly and effectively, expediting your time-to-market.

The Process

With SLS technology, a high-powered laser selectively fuses powdered material layer by layer to create durable, highly accurate parts. After each layer is sintered, a fresh layer of powder is spread across the build area, and the process repeats until the part is complete.
